Karabo FM started in 1999 by a group of enthusiastic young people who wanted to create a platform for communication within the community of Sasolburg and the surrounding areas.
It was called Sasolburg Community Radio Station when it started and then changed to Metsimaholo Community Radio Station in 2002. In 2004 the name changed to Karabo Youth Development Organisation which became the umbrella for three projects. The first one was Karabo Magazine which is a youth publication aiming at uprooting and exposing the hidden talent in the area. Thanks to Media Diversity and Development Agency (MDDA) for having made this possible. READ MORE
